Setting the Standard in B-BBEE online training

We offer the most comprehensive B-BBEE e-learning programs in the country. Our courses are based on the successful BEE Academy Workshops delivered to hundreds of BEE Practitioners over the last decade.

What do we offer?

It’s no secret that e-learning is taking the world of education by storm. Each e-learning course
offered by the BEE Chamber is designed by an instructor who has been teaching it for years.

Course Levels

A BASIC COURSE provides a broad theoretical understanding of the Amended B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice guidelines. Although Basic Courses aim to build a theoretical foundation, the courses include references to apply formulae and calculations to improve the understanding of the theory. However, no calculations are included in a Basic Course to determine the score aligned to a specific Measurement Criteria.

An INTERMEDIATE COURSE combines comprehensive theoretical training and practical applications of the formulae. Intermediate courses are specifically designed to focus on a specific section of the Amended B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice or a particular topic and internalise the relevant theoretical understanding through scenario application activities.

The Practitioner Certification Programme is an ADVANCED COURSE that simplifies and embeds the BEE legislation through comprehensive training on each element of the BEE Scorecard. This course ensures that necessary knowledge is provided to BEE Practitioners to perform effectively with confidence as subject matter experts.

Benefits of e-learning

Content can be Reviewed Several Times.

Unlike classroom teaching, with online learning, you can access the content repeatedly for the duration access is granted.

Quick Delivery of Lessons

As compared to the traditional classroom teaching method, e-learning has relatively short delivery cycles. As a result, the required time to learn is reduced between 25%-60% of what is required in traditional learning.

Less impact on Environment

As eLearning is a paperless way of learning, it protects the environment to a lot of extent. In addition, studies found that e-learning programs consumed around 90% less power and generated 85% less amount of CO2 emissions than traditional campus-based educational courses.

Reduced Costs

E-Learning is cost-effective as compared to traditional forms of learning. Also, you are relieved from any travel and accommodation expenses.

Frequently asked questions

1. Does the online course carry the same value as the face-to-face workshops or webinars?

All courses are developed with the same training methodology irrespective of the platform these courses are delivered. The same content and training outcomes were used to design and develop the respective courses.

2. Are the e-learning courses accredited?

SETA Accredited courses are aligned to SAQA Qualifications or SAQA Unit Standards. However, no qualification nor unit standard addresses Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment. Therefore no B-BBEE content can be accredited until the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA) registers the relevant unit standards. All e-learning courses are non-credit bearing and consequently classified as a category F Learning Programme.

3. What certificate will the learner obtain after completing the online course?

The learner will obtain a Completion Certificate aligned to a category F Learning Programme in the Skills Development Learning Programme Matrix.

4. What is the estimated time to complete an e-learning course?

Each learner will have access to the registered e-learning course for a duration of 3 months. The estimated time for a learner to complete the online course can differ from one day, a week, or a month.

5. Do learners have access to a facilitator when registering to complete an e-learning course?

The e-learning courses curriculum is specifically designed for content to be shared with the learner in sequential order where each Learning Unit focuses on a specific subject matter. Therefore the learner does not require the traditional instructor-led training and access to a facilitator.
